Veggie Philly Cheese Steak

Another quick and easy recipe for my vegetarian family and friends!! I absolutely love the flavors in this sandwich. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes


4 hoagie rolls

1 medium onion sliced

2 green bell peppers sliced

8 ounces of mushrooms sliced

3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

4-6 slices of provolone cheese

olive oil


Place a 12″ pan on medium heat. Coat with olive oil and add onions. Cook for about two minutes. Add bell peppers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for another minute.

Add soy and Worcestershire sauces and mix into vegetables thoroughly. Lower heat to medium-low and let cook for one minute. Add salt and pepper in with vegetables. Taste mixture and add more salt if needed.

Pile veggies into a row in the middle of the pan and layer cheese slices on top. Let cheese melt completely before scooping into hoagie rolls and serving.
